Join me for lunch at The Cool Kids' Table and Pick My Brain.
Have you ever wondered what to do with your cookbook (idea), how to scheme and/or lie your way into a food job or whether you should accept rumaki from a stranger, join me for this.
Join me for lunch Saturday, June 14, from 12:00 - 1:30 EST at The Cool Kids’ Table (mine, via Zoom)
I started this monthly gathering because people often ask if they can take me out for a coffee and pick my brain. While I’d love to meet with everyone, I can’t (that’s not true, I could but I’d never get anything else done!). So once a month I’ll be hosting a lunch where you can ask me anything or talk about a project or an idea with me and the rest of our little tribe of very creative paid subscribers. And each month I’ll be sharing a simple recipe I’ll be making for lunch, in the hopes that you’ll make it too and we can enjoy it together. (sort of).
This week’s recipe comes from
Carla Contreras, from Nourishing Creativity. Carla is a fellow Food Creative but her real superpower is Brand-building and strategizing across platforms, including and especially Substack. Her mocktails are legendary.
Her smoothie-style soups start with bone broth. You chuck it in a blender with other savory ingredients and you’ve made soup in the time it takes to make a smoothie. Why did I choose this? Well I fell off a pair of cute gold platform shoes and broke my foot so I’ve been living on bone broth and these smoothies.
Want to get in on this? For the price of taking me out for coffee and picking my brain, you can become a paid subscriber and join us every month for lunch. Zoom link below.
